They've always said that the eyes are the windows of the soul.
They've always said that a real smile is reflected therein.
Now, after a year of walking with faces masked,
only eyes out,
I agree with how true this is;
For a soul that is filled with love and light cannot be contained behind a mask,
but love and light and laughter lines
of shared humanity and hope will exude.
I see your truth in your eyes.
